The other advantage this time gave me was that the snow would mostly be fresh and not covered in footprints and such like. So the game finished and to make things that much nicer, the snow had stopped falling as well. That meant I didn’t have to worry about my camera getting wet from the snow, which was an added bonus.

I wrapped up warm, got my camera, cable release and tripod and set off into the cold outdoors. Unfortunately the roads had been driven on and didn’t make for particularly great photos. Though around the corner from my house I knew there was a little stream (the River Lavant) where it went under a nice wooden bridge and there was a willow tree overhanging one side. I set up a few different shots and the one below was the pick of the bunch.

The first post on the new photoblog. I created this site to have somewhere to show off my photos, post some tips, share my workflow, discuss ideas and to learn and improve.
